DESCRIPTION

This stunning 1960 Chevrolet El Camino has undergone a documented frame on restoration by Ol' School Garage. The professional two-tone paint features a blue pearl from PPG's Vibrance range and subtle pin-stripping. The chrome and stainless trim pieces have been individually and painstakingly prepped and painted to enhance the ute's custom look. Under the custom aluminium tonneau lid is a high-gloss timber floor complete with polished aluminium strips.

The leather interior has been professionally hand-crafted and installed by our expert trimmer. The painted blue dash and black steering wheel really pop against the cream leather bench seat, roof lining and the door cards. The reproduction gauges and radio enhance the El Camino's classic styling while providing access to convenient modern features such as USB, AUX and Bluetooth connectivity. The parcel shelf houses two high-quality speakers and an amplifier and subwoofer are hidden behind the bench seat.

The new suspension setup features a CPP front disc-brake upgrade kit complete with a new booster, master cylinder and 2 inch drop spindles. The conversion provides a great pedal feel and significantly improves braking performance over the factory setup. The suspension has been re-built, lowered and tuned by our suspension shop to enhance ride and handling.

The engine is a 4-bolt Chevrolet 454ci big block. The parts consist of Edelbrock carb and intake manifold as well as Comp Cams cam and valve spring upgrade. The 2.5" custom TIG-welded exhaust system is a work of art and features mandrel bends and Hooker Aerochamber mufflers. To take advantage of all the newfound torque, the transmission has received a 2400 RPM stall converter. To dissipate heat, a well-thought-out and proven twin-thermo fan has been installed for trouble-free driving in busy traffic.
