DESCRIPTION

What a difference a few months make.

Our customer loved his new Plymouth with its 440 shoehorned into the engine bay. But he hated the 70's inspired purple paint job complete with orange flames and matching purple interior.

So he brought the car to Ol' School Garage with a clear vision as to what he wanted...pearl white paint with a black cloth interior.

Although the car looked amazing in the photos, flames and flames peeled off within strips with ease. The paint chosen is a white from the BMW catalogue and looks stunning in the sunlight.

For daily drive necessities, the solid engine mounts were replaced with 'soft' bush mounts. The exhaust system was fabricated by Adam. It features tig welds, mandrel bends and ceramic coating. Not only is the exhaust functional, but it looks great.

We set up an electronic handbrake/handbrake by replacing the old mechanical system. As part of the braking system, a brand-new booster and master cylinder were assembled by working carefully around the tight engine bay. The rocker cover had to be modified to accommodate the booster. A new fuel cell had been installed in the boot with an external fuel filter.

The amount of purple in the interior was an eyesore, so Murray was called in to install new trim in black cloth with white highlights. This includes the carpet, the seats and door cards and goes nicely with the painted dash. We're really happy with the way this gorgeous Plymouth has turned out. You won't see another like it!
