Ol’ School Garage has been part of Australia’s classic car scene since 1995. What began as a small parts supplier has grown into one of Queensland’s major forces in custom and classic restoration. We are proudly Australian owned, committed to quality and committed to supporting local wherever possible.

Our team brings decades of experience, precise craftsmanship and a genuine love for iconic cars. Every build is handled with care, skill and a standard of finish that sets us apart. If you want your classic restored with authority and authenticity, this is where you come.

Behind OSG are Ken and Olja Streeter. Yes, Streeter is the real name.
Ken built his first car at thirteen and has spent a lifetime creating, restoring and racing performance machines. From Japanese classics to land speed racers to championship-winning drift cars, his knowledge runs deep and his hands have shaped every corner of this industry.

Olja brings the business horsepower. Her background managing multi-million-dollar operations keeps the workshop running with clarity, communication and zero compromise. She makes sure every client is informed and every build moves with purpose. Together, they drive Ol’ School Garage with passion, precision and a commitment to excellence that defines everything we do.

Our Process

TRANSPARENCY IS OUR GAME

BUILD SUMMARY PLAN
As car enthusiasts ourselves, we understand that it is a big step to entrust your car to others.  However, be assured that our team of restoration experts will work closely with you every step of the way and keep you informed as to progress. The primary objective of the Build Management Process is to ensure that you, the customer, are completely up to date throughout your build at each stage until delivery. Should the build specification change, the impact of the change will be notified, explained and agreed with the customer.

ESTIMATED COSTS & TIMELINES

At Ol' School Garage, we've implemented a straightforward pricing system. In most cases, our work is billed based on an hourly rate, and any parts and services provided by external sources are charged at cost plus an industry-standard markup. Additionally, consumables are priced at a flat rate of $5.00 or $7.50 per hour depending on area of work. This cost-plus approach ensures significant cost savings for our clients compared to typical retail rates, thanks to our purchasing capabilities and access to trade discounts. Please note that all quoted hourly rates exclude GST.

MANAGING BUILD PLAN VARIATIONS
Although we can't guarantee additional work will not be required (as is the nature of restoring old cars), we can guarantee you will know exactly what you are paying for through our weekly progress reporting and invoicing process. This ensures that there are no nasty surprises when the car and final invoice are delivered.

INVOICING & REPORTING
Our commitment to transparency means that we want our customers to have a clear understanding of their charges. To achieve this, we provide weekly progress invoices that include a comprehensive breakdown of labor performed, parts acquired, and a visual diary of the work. While project estimates may change as unforeseen issues arise during the process, we will always communicate any necessary modifications and their impact. We believe in making these decisions collaboratively with you, ensuring there are no hidden costs or unpleasant surprises when it's time to settle the invoice.
